  • If you will be gone for an extended period of time, make sure your house looks occupied by putting your lights on timers
  • Have someone pick up your mail and papers, and hire someone to plow or shovel snow right after a storm.
  • Have a neighbor park one of their cars in your driveway
  • Let someone know where you are going, the time frame you will be traveling, and what route you will be taking.
  • Keep valuables locked in your trunk and out of sight.
  • If you must pull over along the way, make sure you pull into a well-lighted public area – don’t stop along the side of the road.
  • Fill the gas tank before dark.
  • Select ATMs that are in visible, well-lighted areas.
  • Don’t travel with a lot of cash, and keep your credit cards in a different location than your cash.
  • Whenever possible, travel with someone.

Protector Group wishes you and yours a safe and happy Holiday Season!
